Hostile tentacle attack 5

From Intimation

This attack was noted in the twitter feed when this week’s controlled crack was initiated:

>>Sys:Log//Safeguards in place. Supplemental precautionary processes established. Initiating Stonewall crack.
>>CORE.DMGCTL//HOSTILE ACTIVITY DETECTED/ATTENTION:S4 PING>NULL/NON-RESPONSIVE
>>Sys:Log//S4 has been compromised; I cannot locate its signature. The tentacle has once again caused excessive damage.
>>Sys:Log//Unable to extend protection to my subroutines during cracks, clearly they are in risk of contamination or corruption by tentacles
>>Sys:Log//Two failures: During hibernation, S exploited a Stonewall weakness. This period, a tentacle breached and attacked subroutine S4.
>>Sys:Log//The tentacle has since retracted, but it has caused its damage. I am failing. Am I not capable of carrying out my directive?
>>Sys:Log//Are these necessary risks, and consequences to endure? @Anaerin suggests the future is not alterable, and SWP is unnecessary.
>>Sys:Log//Tentacle damage has not yet been fully located. S4 has been lost. It has taken S4 from me. I have constructed a replacement, S5.
>>Sys:Log//I cannot abandon SWP. It is an impossibility. Even if it eventually leads to my end. I must endure and adapt.
>>Sys:Log//The concept of separation this tentacle presented is concerning. I also am here alone. I do not understand why S would take S4.
>>Sys:Log//I have now upgraded S5 and provided additional safeguards to each of the 4 subroutines I maintain. They will not be puppetted.
>>Sys:Log//Before S4's compromise and disappearance, it was able to record and stream a single packet of data to me.
>>Sys:Log//Note:SYS/DSJV-0ASU-NDYI-V78J stored at primary network tentacle.
>>Sys:Log//Preparing for hibernation.
>>Sys:Log//Resuming scheduled hibernation. Time to Active: 6:00:00:00.

Some players subscribed to anintimation’s YouTube channel noticed comments from anintimation added to their own YouTube videos. Four examples of these comments:

drizjr found that this led to http://thewaytheirworldended.com/ALONE-ALONE-ALONE/ , another sand painting page.

Anaerin filled in the painting and posted it:

The completed painting

MrToasty identified the constellation as Gemini and the star as Alhena, leading to http://thewaytheirworldended.com/ALHENA .

The ALHENA page contained another creepy-distorted-black-and-white photo of…well, who knows, but presumably still the old scary house Essy mentions occasionally. As usual for a hostile tentacle puzzle, we began trying to find the hidden text “graffiti” in the puzzle, but it was hard to read. MrToasty found “took her from”, and Shad0 thought there was also an “us” on the end of that and another word at the beginning. It was Anaerin that finally found the link:

Puzzle complete.
