Talk:Sandbox2

From Intimation

Nice table :). Don't feel you have to signaturize stuff here just because I did...I only did that because I was confused the first time I tried to sign a talk page ("hmm, why isn't it showing me my name? why is it just --dreamerblue 04:45, 10 August 2009 (UTC)?")...so I used my made-up sandbox to test it :). And please also don't feel you have to make that table just because I suggested it if it's too much headache; if you also like the idea, go for it, but I won't be offended if you think it's too much work :). --dreamerblue 04:45, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

I like to learn new things, so I'm trying to find the proper wiki coding to make that pretty indexing box (or whatever it's called) like that one that you showed me on the "Lost" wiki. I like your idea of using it for the "Mission Logs", so I didn't mind spending a little time trying to figure it out. (Part of the problem is that I don't know what's it's called. That makes it difficult to look it up. :) ) If I find that I'm wasting time that I could otherwise use for editing/updating our precious resource; I'll move on to other pages.

As far as I know, signing talk pages is SOP. ;@) --Drizjr 05:04, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, I meant on the page itself, not the talk page...I signed the page itself only to test my sig., then you signed what you did there, too, even though it's not a talk page, but it's just a sandbox so who cares :). It doesn't matter either way. --dreamerblue 00:55, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

Oh, and here's a good page on tables, which shows the code and then the table itself for ever-increasingly-more-complex tables: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Table . The "Mélange" example is one that looks more complex & I haven't tackled yet, but it does show how to make cells span more than one column, do a table within a table, and so on. --dreamerblue 00:58, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
